Instituted on 19 November 1941. The clasp is constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse presents a central laurel wreath with a Luftwaffe style eagle clutching a swastika, with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, reverse unmarked, presents a horizontal pinback with a barrel hinge and round wire catch, measures 76. 42 mm (w) x 25. 34 mm (h), weighs 20. 7 grams, and in extremely fine condition.
